OJSC Severneftegazprom Holds a Water Polo Competition

On June 16, a friendly water polo competition was held at the shift camp of the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil, gas and gas condensate field.

It was the first time that the Company had organized a water polo event in order to actively promote healthy lifestyle, strengthen corporate camaraderie, and engage the Company's employees in regular physical culture and sports activities.

Two teams competed for the title of the winner of the tournament, one representing the gas field of the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil, gas and condensate field, and the other – the administration complex of the village of Urengoy.

As a result of the exciting and intense game, the strong-willed team of the administration complex defeated their rivals 15:3. Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer Andrey Kasyanenko congratulated the athletes on the well-earned victory and expressed the hope that holding such sports events would become a good corporate tradition.

          Creating the most favorable conditions for work and recreation is one of OJSC Severneftegazprom's priorities allowing it to achieve the desired labor efficiency in production. On the territory of the shift camp of the gas field of the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil, gas and condensate field, in 2013 the Company put into operation its own sports and recreation complex designed for the needs of the Company's employees. It houses a swimming pool with four 25-meter swimming lanes, a games hall, a sports hall with fitness equipment from leading manufacturers, and a sauna equipped with the latest technology.

          The Company regularly uses the shift camp's sports hall to hold corporate darts, volleyball, football, basketball, billiards, and tennis competitions.
