The flag of Victory proudly flies over Novy Urengoy
Back to newsOn May 1, in front of our office in Novy Urengoy, on the square near the city administration, the flag of Victory was raised! A scarlet flag measuring 9 by 13 meters flies from the the highest flagpole in the city.
The management and staff of OJSC Severneftegazprom took part in the event.
We honor the memory of our victorious heroes who raised the flag over the Reichstag and all those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
78 years ago, on May 1, 1945, Soviet soldiers hoisted the flag of Victory on the roof of the Reichstag building. In memory of this event, a red flag was set up in Novy Urengoy.
The flag of Victory is a copy of the assault flag of the 150th Order of Kutuzov II degree of the Idritsa Rifle Division, hoisted on May 1, 1945 on the Reichstag building in Berlin, symbolizing the victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
