On this day in the summer of 1941, the most bloody and terrible war in the history of our country began. The offensive of the Nazis, which began at 4.00 am, took place in three directions - to Moscow, Leningrad and Kyiv. This day was the longest for many soldiers and commanders of the Red Army, who were taken by surprise in the border districts in the early morning by explosions of shells and bombs in barracks and field camps.
