Back to newsEmployees of OJSC Severneftegazprom in Novy Urengoy joined the VI All-Russian Half Marathon ZaBeg.RF. Vasily Dunaev, Alexey Plotnikov, Leonid Kamensky, Pavel Kushch, Alexandra Nosova, Elza Kilmamatova decided to test their endurance. Everyone chose a distance according to their physical fitness: 1 km, 10 km or 21.1 km.
It should be noted that this is the largest half marathon with a synchronized start. It was held simultaneously in 85 Russian cities in 11 time zones. The start was given at 9.00 Moscow time.
The weather was sunny and warm, which also contributed to the good mood of the participants and fans. All our athletes completed the chosen distance to the end. Vasily Dunaev became the winner of the All-Russian race, taking third place in the category of 45-54 years old (his result is 01:46:33 at the longest distance of 21.1 km).
According to the press service of the city administration, on May 22, about a thousand athletes from all over Yamal went to the start. All participants of the half marathon were greeted with medals at the finish line. There were no losers that day. Everyone who went to the start won, overcoming their laziness and fears.
A real celebration of sports took place in the Solnechnaya junction area: music played, game and food zones worked, the site was colorful and brightly decorated. All money from registration fees will be directed to helping sick children in the Yamal fund «YAMINE».
