According to the authors, the drop in reservoir gas pressure in the wells of the fields forces gas producing companies to maintain the required pressure of commercial gas to supply it to the system of main gas pipelines. This is achieved by increasing the number of operating gas compressor units (GCU) at booster compressor stations (BCS). The number of GPUs increases, thereby increasing both the compression ratio and the temperature of the compressed gas.

Exceeding the standardized gas temperature indicators can lead to a limitation of the gas pipeline throughput, thawing of permafrost soils. The issue of gas cooling after the GPU remains topical.

«The most widespread method of cooling compressed gas today is the process of its heat exchange with atmospheric air in air coolers and / or raw formation gas in recuperative heat exchangers. It has several disadvantages. The proposed method allows us to increase the refrigeration capacity in a closed gas circulation cycle, to intensify the process of the phase transition of water upon dehydration and, thereby, to reduce the energy consumption for the compression of the main gas and the production of cold in the closed gas circulation cycle. This method makes it possible to increase the efficiency of treatment of the main gas at the compressor station», - explains the chief engineer of the gas field of OJSC Severneftegazprom Roman Balko.

The invention proposed by the specialists of OJSC Severneftegazprom includes gas cooling with atmospheric air in air-coolers, cooling in a recuperative heat exchanger and deep cooling in refrigerating devices.

According to the authors of the invention, if the regulated cooling temperature of the compressed gas is not reached, the compressed gas flow is automatically switched for cooling to the recuperative gas-liquid heat exchanger with the start of the absorption refrigeration machine in operation. In an absorption refrigeration machine, water prepared in a dry cooling tower is used as an intermediate refrigerant. When the regulated temperature of the compressed gas cooling is reached in the gas-liquid heat exchanger, the compressed gas supply is automatically transferred to the main intermediate pipeline, and the absorption machine is shut down.

The invention improves the efficiency of operation of an operating production facility located in the permafrost zone. The introduction of the proposed method will ensure the maintenance of the required gas temperature at already operated production facilities, without replacing or reconstructing expensive equipment and machines, without changing the technological process of the production facility.

The invention assumes in the future the use of absorption refrigeration machines using fuel gas as an energy resource.
