The team of OJSC Severneftegazprom completed participation in the charity volleyball tournament
It was hot all week at the Zvezdny Sports Palace. From March 15 to March 21, volleyball matches were held here among the teams of the second group of the Charity Volleyball Tournament for the «Cup of the Governor of Yamal 2021». The splitting into groups showed the opponents for our team as well. Volleyball players of OJSC Severneftegazprom had to meet with the players of the construction company Velesstroy, the team of the Administration of the Nadym region, as well as the teams of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg and Achimgaz.
Already in the first match, the Company's team showed a bright and uncompromising game. More than just a fighting spirit allowed the volleyball players of OJSC Severneftegazprom to take the leading role, and left the rival Velesstroy in the role of catching up. SNGP team finished the first period of the meeting with an advantage of four points, in the second it even doubled its superiority. The confident victory of OJSC Severneftegazprom with a score of 2:0 inspired not only the players, but also those who were desperately rooting for the team in the stands.
The next two meetings turned out to be much more intense. The meeting with the Administration of the Nadym region was not easy. Our volleyball players really fought and, despite the equal play at the beginning of the match, they still did not manage to take the initiative into their own hands. The game ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the Administration of the Nadym region.
The match with the volleyball players of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg ended with another defeat. The rival is the clear favorite of the group and one of the main contenders for victory in the tournament, although it was leading in the score, he came out on top with great effort. The team of OJSC Severneftegazprom showed a worthy resistance, which rightfully earned the warm support of the stands. Unfortunately, a good start and interesting moments during the meeting did not change the overall picture and the result on the scoreboard. The meeting ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg.
The final match with the team of Achimgaz JSC became a real holiday for the fans of Severneftegazprom, who filled the stands of the Zvezdny Sports Palace on Sunday. The beautiful game kept the audience in suspense to the last moment. However, despite the tangible advantage and good fighting spirit, the intrigue remained throughout the game. And yet we won! A bright and truly exciting meeting became a good point of our sports participation in a charity tournament. Having won two victories, the team of OJSC Severneftegazprom took the honorable third place in the group.
Further fights will be continued by the leaders of the groups. The semifinal games will be held at the Zvyozdny Sports Palace on March 29-30, and the tournament will end with a charity match, during which the Northern Character team of the Okrug Government and the Yamal Leaders team of captains of different teams will meet. Thanks to the support of OJSC Severneftegazprom, doctors of the Novy Urengoy central city hospital will also be able to see this game. With the support of the Company, 15 entrance tickets were purchased.
