Closing ceremony of the charitable volleyball tournament «Cup of the Governor of Yamal 2021» took place
The Arctic charity volleyball tournament «Cup of the Governor of Yamal 2021» is over. For two and a half weeks, the fans watched the bright and spectacular fights, and the employees of OJSC Severneftegazprom warmly supported their team. The Company's volleyball players won two victories and finished the tournament in third place in the group. But there are no losers.
For the fourth year in a row, children have become the main winners of the charity championship. The contributions of the participating teams, as well as the funds raised from the sale of tickets for the gala match, will be transferred to the account of the Yamine charity foundation in Yamal and will go to the rehabilitation of disabled children.
The final match of the tournament with the participation of the team of the Governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov «Northern character», as well as the team «Leaders of Yamal», which included the captains of the participating teams, was a bright end to the big sports event. But, before entering the sports ground and joining the game, the Head of the region presented a large cup to the winners of the tournament.
For the third year in a row, the main trophy of the Arctic Charity Tournament goes to the volleyball players of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy.
In addition, the Governor of Yamal presented commemorative plaques to representatives of all 26 teams.
The spectators warmly greeted the players who participated in the tournament. And our fans, of course, loudly applauded the team's volleyball players of OJSC Severneftegazprom. And even though only a few have reached the final – the main thing, as the Governor emphasized, is that a tournament exists, and the interest for it is only growing.
«We have proved that even in the most difficult period we are able to unite for the sake of great goals. Thanks to everyone who supported us! Thanks to you, 20 children will receive the necessary assistance from the Yamine Foundation», – summed up the Head of the region.
The gala match of the charity tournament with a score of 2:0 has ended with the victory of the Northern Character team. Volunteers and doctors of the Novy Urengoy central city hospital were able to support the participants in the fight and actively cheer. With the help of OJSC Severneftegazprom, 15 tickets have been purchased for doctors.
Another holiday of sports and friendship is over. But, a new tournament and the next meeting will certainly be.
