YUZHNO-RUSSKOYE FIELD, (YNAO), June 20 - RIA News. Involving the development of Turonian gas deposits at the Yuzhno-Russkoye field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District will extend the maximum production level of 25 billion cubic meters of gas per year for five to ten years - until 2025–2030, the general director of OAO Severneftegazprom developing the field Stanislav Tsygankov.

"We can extend the shelf of 25 billion (cubic meters of gas per year - ed.) by several years," said Tsygankov, speaking of the effect that will be achieved in connection with the involvement of Turonian gas deposits in the development.

"In the region of 2020, I think we will have a planned reduction (gas production - ed.), If there were no turon," said Tsygankov. He noted that these forecasts are quite indicative and depend on a number of parameters, such as the volume of annual production and the geological situation at the field.

OJSC Severneftegazprom holds a license for the development, development and production of hydrocarbons at the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field (YuRNGM), located in the Krasnoselkupsky district of the YNAO. The reserves of natural gas in the ABC1 + C2 category are more than 1 trillion cubic meters. In August 2009, one year ahead of time, the Yuzhno-Russkoye field was brought to design capacity with gas production of 25 billion cubic meters per year.

The shareholders of OJSC Severneftegazprom are OJSC Gazprom (owns a controlling stake), BASF SE and E.ON AG.

Turonian deposits are the second largest gas reserves of the Yuzhno-Russkoye field, which lie at a depth of 810-840 meters. Their peculiarity lies in heterogeneity and variability in lithologic composition, low permeability of reservoirs. The main difficulty in their development is work at temperatures close to negative. Turon reserves of the Yuzhno-Russkoye field are estimated at more than 300 billion cubic meters.
