OJSC Severneftegazprom is the winner of the PJSC Gazprom award in science and technologyBack to news
On November 29, 2018 an Award Ceremony of PJSC Gazprom prize winner in Science and Technology was held at the PJSC Gazprom Management Committee.
Work of OJSC Severneftegazprom on the subject: “Drafting and implementation of innovative methods of developing fields with hard-to-recover gas reserves, allowing to increase the profitability of production” was awarded the prize of PJSC Gazprom in the field of science and technology for 2018 and won first place in the competition.
In this work, the team of authors presented the results of the development and implementation of a set of innovative solutions and research to improve the technical and economic efficiency of gas production from hard-to-recover reserves in the north of Western Siberia through the new methods of exploration and development of Senon-Turonian productive sediments, reviewed technologies and methods to increase the productivity of wells for the Senon-Turonian gas deposits, and also uncovered the global and Russian experience of their use in development of hard-to-recover gas reserves.
During the period of pilot development of the Turonian gas deposit of the Yuzhno-Russkoye field, the following methods and technologies for increasing the productivity of wells were tested: hydraulic fracturing in vertical wells (No. 35-Р, No. 51-Р); a double bottom well with a low angle ending (No. 174); well with ascending profile of a wellbore (№184); multi-stage hydraulic fracturing in a well with a low angle ending (No. 1902)
For the first time, to develop Turonian gas, a pilot testing of a new well design for the well No. 184 with an ascending profile of a wellbore was performed, which allows to provide the optimum technological regime, increase the productivity and final gas recovery of the reservoir. R&D solutions have been formulated and substantiated to improve the technical and economic efficiency of gas production through the joint development of Senon-Turonian and Cenomanian gas deposits.
The geological, technological and technical information obtained during the implementation of the project can be used by the gas producing subsidiaries of PJSC Gazprom for the cost-effective and efficient development of Senon-Turonian gas deposits with hard-to-recover reserves.
The PJSC Gazprom Prize in the field of science and technology has been awarded since 1998. The award is an important component of a corporate science and technology policy aimed at stimulating the use of innovations in the company's activities and ensuring its technological leadership in the global energy business.
In 2018, 14 works were submitted for the award, 22 Gazprom subsidiaries of Gazprom and 9 third-party organizations took part. The total number of authors is 117 people.
The presented works were evaluated by an expert group of specialists from PJSC Gazprom and its subsidiaries. The experts assessed, in particular, the relevance, novelty, scientific and technical level (science intensity) of development, scope, scale and economic efficiency of their use in PJSC Gazprom, the possibility of commercialization and protectability, the degree of application of domestic materials, technologies and equipment.
